Oh, The Lessons I've Learned

Today, I was mowing the lawn, and I started to think. I have learned a lot of lessons in life, none of which could be life lessons. Here goes:

1. Never send a mean email to a politician using your parents' email address; they will email back.
2. Don't lie; especially when the actuality of the situation is electronically documented for you mother to see.
3. Don't tell secrets you promised to keep.
4. Always make sure you are sending a text to the correct person; you may accidently send it to the person you are bashing.
5. The Kannapolis Police Department won't give you a ticket for 15mph over the speed limit, but they will for 16mph over.
6. If a girl doesn't like you, they DON'T LIKE YOU.
7. Girls lie more than guys, they are just better at hiding it.
8. You're mother doesn't care what the valedictorian got on that test, you still should have done better.
9. You're mother wants to know why you can't be more like the valedictorian.
10. You're parents are probably lying if they tell you they never got in trouble when they were younger.
11. You can do anything you want in life, as long as you have proper funding.
12. Money does grow on trees. The trees are turned into paper that will make your money.
13. No matter what, the woman is right. Even if she are wrong.
14. You know that band you think is gay? They get with more women in a week than you will your whole life.
15. I don't care who you are, Hitler was a brilliant man.
16. I don't care who you are, Obama can read off a teleprompter better than anything.
17. Any women who is a good musician is hotter than a runway model.
18. If you like Nickelback, we cannot, under any circumstances, be friends.
19. Sarcasm is the air people breath.
20. Facebook will never stop changing.
21. People don't change, they just become better actors.
22. Pie? Pie is good.

Music

Musicccc. Dont we all love it? whether it be top 40 pop crap or the most intense black metal ever, we all want to hear music. Music means something different to us all. To some, it means it's time to party. It may mean it's time to get down. Actually that's awkward. Skip that one. Okay. BUT, to me it means freedom. It means i have time to sit down and listen to something I feel i can connect with. ADD. I have always had a strong connection with music. It started with the blues. I loved to sit down, play some bluesy Zeppelin and just "rock out" to it. Zeppelin is and always will be THE best band ever. Bar none. As I grew to who i am now, still love blues but i am far more open to music. Today, i listen to Chiodos, TDWP, and other "hardcore" bands like that, and very indie bands such as Silversun Pickups, Cage the Elephant, and many others. I also like to write music. Emotionally I don't engage myself very much, so the closest to "emotional" i get is my writing. I love writing music. It opens doors once locked by ignorance. It washes stains that you couldn't get out of your mind. It solves, and occasionally creates problems that you never thought could be possible. It's like nothing else. I play in the band Midnight Epiphany, and i have been for 3 years now. I've seen some of my best friends come and go in that band, and while it has been THE absolute WORST experience for me, it has also been the BEST. There is nothing that could bring me closer to that hypothetical happiness than music. Writing and performing. Performing and writing. I could do that for an eternity. Performing is high in and of itself. I love that feeling. I'll NEVER do drugs, so performing is as close as i'll get haha. That connection you get with the audience when everything is just right is nothing short of phenomenal. Music changes sooooo many peoples' lives, and to be part of chaning one's life is amazing. I also like apple pie.

Well, I would like to explain who i am

I know not many people are going to read this, but i have nothing better to do than to sit here and type, so here goes. I am that guy. You know? That guy that does all that stuff that only that guy would do. Like unitentionally cut in front of you at an intersection. Blank out in the middle of a crowded hallway and quit walking. Randomly blurt out nonsense in class that gets the whole class more homework. I'm also a musician. Mainly a musician in fact. I play guitar, drums, piano(a tad), bass, and i sing. First and foremost though, i am a guitarist. I LOVE guitar. Ever since i first had an understanding for rock music, i wanted to play guitar. I remember as a small child picking up my little red shovel, and playing air guitar. I didn't even know what "air guitar" was. I am the proud owner of a Gibson SG Special, a marshall half stack, and an Epiphone SG G-400. I'm also a theatre kid. Theatre kids are cool. And i will update this again later. Adios.

Hm. What to say.

Well this is my first blog. It's past one in the morning, so I won't be going too in depth, but I hope in the future to regularly edit my blog and make it interesting. I plan to do normal blogs as well as album and song reviews. Well, goodnight Internet, I'll see you tomorrow.
